2 antiviruses installed on my computer?

I have 2 antiviruses installed on my computer that appear on my security centre and states that at least one is up to date and scanning but only one firewall. will it do any harm to have these two on. one is avg antivirus and the other is cyberdefender security suite

usually having more than one antivirus will cause ur system to slow down alot ... u only need one ... if anything disable all active protection on one of them ...

yes it matters, you should have only one antivirus installed.
It should not pose any problems. The only thing is that it can be a drain on system performance, in terms of system memory and CPU usage. Having two levels of anti-virus is very safe. One anti-virus might miss something that the other can catch.
There is nothing wrong with having two anti- virus programmes installed as one will never know all the viruses
Depending on the Antivirus Programs, they occasionally compete with each other finding some bugs that aren't there. If you are going to load two Antivirus applications, try not to have both on the system at the same time.



Also a point that was previously made is that the more services you have loaded, the more your system will slow down. For each additional Antivirus, you tie up more RAM and more processor cycles. Similar to malware, which is the exact thing you want to prevent.
