How do you keep someone from trying tto log onto your computer?

My security settings on my computer say someone is trying to get onto my network settings. I keep hitting block this computer, then it saus a new firewall has been added. But the bastard keeps trying to log on. HELP!!!!

what i would do is go to zonelabs.com download the personal edition firewall and install it it will give you protection from outside sources and also block outgoing connections that you might not be aware off. That's what i have used for many years and it has not let me down yet. i hope this help if need more answers just drop me an email and i will help you deal with it.

You need a personal router that you put between your broadband modem and your computer.

LinkSys, Netgear, DLinnk, Belkin, etc make them
I wouldn't know that much but maybe this would help?

go to start and click your profile icon thing

next go to ''home'' in the upper corner of the window

then were it says ''pick a task'' click the last one ''change the way user log in and off'' then where it says ''use the welcome screen'' if it has a check, click on it for it to go away.

then you'll have to type a user account name (yours)
