What does DNS Flush do to your computer? (In layman's terms, maybe?)?

I really want to know what DNS Flush does to your computer and if there is anything negative about DNS flush? can it affect other's computers if you are connected through a router? can it harm the computer in any way, any security hazards, or is everything just the same as before?

DNS resolves domain names to ip addresses.....

so when you do a DNS flush, you are flushing out all the entries made....

now whenever you try to connect your computer would in search of the DNS server, which will be with ISP.....

so this delays your access speed since your computer would be no longer able to resolve the IP addresses, takes additional pain to search and check with ISP...

there are no security hazards with this issue....
