i have this norton security scan thing on my computer and it says that it has cookies. i dont know what that is but im afraid its some kind of virus. its making my computer kinda slow and i wanna get rid of it. is there anything i need to download? i dont want any complicated descriptions. i just wanna know what this ''cookies'' is and how do i get rid of it. please help me! thanks!

Cookies are just information stored by websites. Some cookies (probably the ones Norton detect) can track where you go and send it to some company. They are not a virus in any way shape or form (well it may be classified as a trojan since it gives info on what sites you've been to).
Short and Sweet: Remove the ones Norton says, but in general cookies are fine.
you have the answer above... Only tracking cookies are the ones you dont want to keep..
you can safely delete them all..
If you delete them all you will have to type your username and password when you log into sites..
