I am sitting here at work with nothing to do and cleaning out a friends computer. I said I would help but am not an uuber computer expert. I am just cleaning out obvious virus files. But the computer also has a ton of security update files and ''hotfix'' files, do you think I should delete these too with my uninstaller program?

hello
your welcome ,thanks for the 10 point's Report It
You can also buy a new computer chip. But what Cutie said was VERY good advise, too! Report It
Get some security software from here:

Where are these files located? In the user temporary folder or \Windows\Temp?
If so, then you can delete those files.
Otherwise, I'd just leave them alone.

No!
If you don't know what you're doing, you should learn on your own computer, not your friend's.
