Virus question on computer..help?

My computer keeps popping up with Windowns security alert saying windows has detected internet attack attemt somone's trying to infect your pc. I have tried to download all sorts of antispyware but it keeps freezing. HOW DO I START IN SAFEMODE AND what programs do i download?? screens keep popping up i have no idea what to do

delete and uninstall all existing anti virus and anti spyware and then go to www.filehippo.com

and download Spybot search and destroy under category anti spyware and also download and install AVG anti virus under category Anti virus... and scan your system with both.it seems to be a spyware problem to me can be fixed with SPYBOT search and destroy software....if not mail me i will let you know...

This question is far to complicated to answer with one response. Try http://www.techguy.org/ its free just create an account and post your question in the correct forum. These guys are extremely helpful and they will walk you through the process step by step. BTW to start in safe mode you need to tap F4 while the system is restarting, but if you want internet access be sure to chose the correct option.
Check that your firewall is turned on. Watch the security bar on the browser when downloading anti-spyware, it will pop a warning requiring you to confirm the download. Only use AVG free or Spybot search and destroy, there are many false spywares, these will damage rather than repair the machine.
